Policies Regarding the 100% Satisfaction Guarantee, Refunds, Returns, Cancellations and Warranties:

Compassionate Help for Compulsive Hoarding™ – This program is 6 months in length and is purchased with the understanding that the method of payment you provide (i.e. credit card) will be automatically charged the monthly fee for 6 consecutive months. If you are not satisfied with this program, you may cancel at any time during the program by contacting Kristi Meyer via email or the phone # below. If you cancel prior to the second month of the program, you will be refunded the amount you have paid for the program with the following stipulations. If any of the program materials that were mailed to you (i.e. book, workbook, markers, etc.) have been used, or, for any other reason, are not in their original, new, condition, your refund will be reduced by $100.00 to cover the costs for and shipping of the materials. In this case, you keep all the materials that were mailed to you. However, if none of the program materials that were mailed to you (i.e. book, workbook, markers, etc.) have been used, and all are in their original, new, condition, 100% of the amount you have paid for the program will be refunded to you upon return and inspection of the materials. In this case, you are responsible for the proper packaging of the materials and the shipping and insurance fees. The materials are to be shipped to the address below.

Organizer in the Phone™ – If you are not satisfied with your 1-hour phone call with Kristi Meyer, you will be refunded 100% of the amount you have paid for the call. You may request your refund during the phone call, or up to 3 days after the phone call by contacting Kristi Meyer via email or the phone # below. If you paid for multiple hours (calls) with a single purchase, and you are not satisfied with one or more of the calls, you will be refunded 100% of the amount you have paid for the calls. You may request your refund during any of the phone calls, or up to 3 days after the unsatisfactory phone call by contacting Kristi Meyer via email or the phone # below.

Organizer in the In-Box™ – This is a “pay as you go” program. Your payment gets you customized guidance on organizing one room (or space) of your house (via email), and one 30-minute phone call with Kristi Meyer. If you are not satisfied with your emailed guidance or your 30-minute phone call, you will be refunded 100% of the amount you have paid for the services. You may request your refund during the phone call, or up to 3 days after the phone call by contacting Kristi Meyer via email or the phone # below.

New Organizer Mentoring – If you are not satisfied with your 1-hour mentoring phone call with Kristi Meyer, you will be refunded 100% of the amount you have paid for the call. You may request your refund during the phone call, or up to 3 days after the phone call by contacting Kristi Meyer via email or the phone # below. If you paid for multiple mentoring hours (calls) with a single purchase, and you are not satisfied with one or more of the calls, you will be refunded 100% of the amount you have paid for the calls. You may request your refund during any of the mentoring phone calls, or up to 3 days after the unsatisfactory phone call by contacting Kristi Meyer via email or the phone # below.

Paper Tiger® and FreedomFiler®The House That Clutter Built is an affiliate of these two companies. Individuals who purchase these products through a link on my website or directly on the source websites are subject to the “Refunds, Returns, Cancellations and Warranties” policies of the respective companies. As an affiliate, I do offer phone-based coaching/guidance for these two systems, which can be purchased by using my Organizer in the Phone options. On-Site Organizing Services – Since “On-Site” services involve so many variables (i.e. travel time, hotel accommodations, etc.), refund policies will vary on a case basis. Your customized policies will be clearly outlined in our individual agreements.

Refunds are not offered for downloads of documents (i.e. “pdf”, Word, etc.), audio files (i.e. “mp3”) or presentations (i.e. Power Point).

Ethics, Privacy, and Confidentiality

Exposure to information of a business, financial, or personal nature frequently occurs during the organizing process.  The House That Clutter Built recognizes that trust and confidentiality is the basis and foundation of the business relationship and agrees to respect the privacy and confidentiality of client information at all times.

 

As a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), The House That Clutter Built strictly adheres to its Code of Ethics.  We treat every situation discreetly and confidentially, and we always respect your boundaries.

 

What is the National Association of Professional Organizers’ (NAPO) Code of Ethics?

 

This Code of Ethics is a set of principles to provide guidelines in our professional conduct with our clients, colleagues and community.  As a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers, I pledge to exercise judgment, self-restraint and conscience in my conduct in order to establish and maintain public confidence in the integrity of NAPO members and to preserve and encourage fair and equitable practices among all who are engaged in the profession of organizing.

 

Clients:

Working Relationships:

  • I will serve my clients with integrity, competence, and objectivity, and will treat them with respect and courtesy.
  • I will offer services in those areas in which I am qualified and will accurately represent those qualifications in both verbal and written communications.
  • When unable or unqualified to fulfill requests for services, I will make every effort to recommend the services of other qualified organizers and/or other qualified professionals.
  • I will advertise my services in an honest manner and will represent the organizing profession accurately.

 

Confidentiality:

  • I will keep confidential all client information, both business and personal, including that which may be revealed by other organizers.
  • I will use proprietary client information only with the client’s permission.
  • I will keep client information confidential and not use it to benefit myself or my business, or reveal this information to others.

 

Fees:

  • I will decide independently and communicate to my client in advance my fees and expenses, and will charge fees and expenses which I deem reasonable, legitimate, and commensurate with my experience, the services I deliver, and the responsibility I accept.
  • I will make recommendations for products and services with my client’s best interests in mind.

 

Colleagues:

  • I will seek and maintain an equitable, honorable and cooperative association with other NAPO members and will treat them with respect and courtesy.
  • I will respect the intellectual property rights (materials, titles, and thematic creations) of my colleagues, and other firms and individuals, and will not use proprietary information or methodologies without permission.
  • I will act and speak on a high professional level so as to not bring discredit to the organizing profession.

Shipping Policy:

You can trust that your order will be quickly processed and safely delivered.  We can ship products to anywhere in the United States using the shipping method of your choice.  When you place an order, we will estimate delivery dates based upon the availability of your item(s), shipping method selected, and your shipment’s destination.

 

BCPO® Code of Ethics for Certified Professional Organizers

BCPO® is committed to the highest ethical standards for all certificate holders, as reflected in the BCPO® Code of Ethics.  Adherence to this Code of Ethics is required for the ongoing certification of all those who hold the Certified Professional Organizer® credential.

 

Preamble:

This Code of Ethics is a set of principles which govern the professional conduct of Certified Professional Organizers with clients, colleagues and community.  Certified Professional Organizers pledge to exercise judgment, self-restraint and conscience in their conduct in order to establish and maintain public confidence in the integrity of the CPO® certificate and to preserve and encourage fair and equitable practices among all who are engaged in the profession of organizing.

 

Ethical Principles:

 

Working Relationships:

  • I will only offer professional organizing services in those areas in which I am qualified, and I will accurately represent those qualifications in all verbal and written communications.
  • I will market my professional organizing services in a lawful and honest manner.
  • I will respect and not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others.
  • I will not use the proprietary materials or information of others without the owner’s written permission.
  • I will comply with all laws applicable to the operation of my business and my provision of professional organizing services, and I will not engage in any fraudulent or deceptive acts or practices.
  • I will at all times endeavor to avoid situations in which my provision of professional organizing services to one client places me in a conflict of interest position with another client.

 

Confidentiality:

  • I will respect a client’s wishes with respect to confidential treatment of client information.
  • I will use reasonable means to keep all client records and materials in my possession secure and confidential unless the client gives me written permission to make such records or materials public.

 

Fees and Services:

  • I will establish my fees in a manner which does not involve collusion with a competitor, and I will communicate my fee and expense structure to my clients in advance of beginning the provision of professional organizing services.
  • I will only recommend products and/or services that my clients need or desire.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND AGREEMENT

As a condition of being awarded and maintaining status as a Certified Professional Organizer®, I voluntarily agree to be bound by and to abide by this Code of Ethics, the Ethics Complaint Procedure for Certified Professional Organizers®, the Bylaws of the Board of Certification for Professional Organizers (BCPO®), and any policies or procedures adopted by the Board of Directors of the BCPO®, as they are now written or may be amended in the future.

I will report to the Professional Practices Committee of the BCPO® my knowledge of an act or omission of another Certified Professional Organizer® in violation of this Code, or of any applicant for certification status in connection with such person’s application.  I agree to cooperate with the Professional Practices Committee in the investigation of alleged violations of this Code of Ethics.

I acknowledge and agree that, if found to be in violation of this Code, I am subject to the prescribed disciplinary sanctions of the BCPO®.  I acknowledge that, in the event of suspension or revocation of my certified status, all rights and privileges of said certification would be terminated.
